Meso Index

Price of everything, since launch

Meso Index, daily: 100 = launch prices (Oct 8–10). The blue line is the typical (median) item, unweighted.

Room 1 · The Price Sky

Biggest movers

Every item floats at the height of its own price change. The gold line is where it started: what got pricier rises, what got cheaper sinks. Tap an item for its price page.

    Cheap stuff vs. expensive stuff

One number hides the real story. What players buy to get stronger or look good got much pricier. What everyone farms barely moved. Every number here is the change since launch.

Room 3 · Meso vs. dollar

What a meso is worth in real money

Some Cash Shop items cost a fixed amount of real money, and players resell them on the Free Market for mesos. That gives a daily exchange rate between mesos and dollars.

        How we count

        Method notes
What the numbers are built from

Every sale seen on the Classic World Free Market since October 7: — sales of — items by — different sellers. An item's price on a day is the median of that day's sales, per unit. Median, not average, so one crazy sale can't move anything.

The Meso Index (the 2.2× figure)

A direct price index: every day is compared to launch (October 8–10 = 100) using a 3-day window. Each item is weighted by its share of mesos traded, averaged between launch and that day. Only items with at least 10 sales in both windows count. We also checked a day-to-day chained index and two other weightings; the direct comparison is the steadiest, and the cross-checks land close to it.

The Price Sky and the typical item

Each item is compared to its own first three trading days (for items that appeared later, from the day they showed up). "Typical item" is the median item's change, unweighted.

        Meso vs. dollar

1,000 NX = $1. For a fixed basket of Cash Shop items that have traded since launch, we divide the Free Market meso price by the NX price and take the median each day.

        "Mesos traded"

The day's median price times units sold. It's money moving between players, not new money. Daily sales also rose because more sales were being recorded, so it doesn't measure the size of the economy. The index isn't affected, because it compares prices, not quantities.

        World money

World money is our own estimate, shown with a likely low and high. It is refreshed regularly and counts forward between refreshes at the latest pace. Treat it as a size, not an exact count.
